Sinead Looby says she is someone who, though living in the tech age, has a passion for the past in her writing. She grew up on a diet of music “in an era when it meant something, the Eighties”. Her favourite lyrical genres range from the protest songs of the Smiths to the classic bubble-gum pop of the new romantics.
She describes her poetry as both visual and familiar, drawing on the “day-to-day mundane tasks of life, while losing one's self in fantasy and of a different time. I'm an absolute beginner!”
